Let’s see. The head honcho of the IMF, one Dominique Strauss-Kahn, has been arrested for “allegedly sodomizing a Manhattan hotel maid,” shortly before he tried to get on a plane to France:
The French political bigshot who heads the International Monetary Fund was arrested for allegedly sodomizing a Manhattan hotel maid today — hauled off an Air France flight just moments before takeoff from Kennedy Airport, police sources said.
Three Port Authority detectives pulled Dominique Strauss-Kahn from the plane’s first-class cabin just two minutes before it was due to depart for Paris, according to police sources.
Strauss-Kahn, 62 — who was expected to challenge Nicholas Sarkozy in the 2012 French presidential election — was turned over to NYPD officers and brought to the Special Victims Unit’s uptown squadroom.
What bothered me about the article was the picture of Strauss-Kahn. He is the current head of the IMF, right? So of all the pictures of him that are available, why did they have to show him with a former president who happens to be beaming?
Here’s the picture:
It’s not as if there aren’t any; I had no difficulty finding this one.
And he is beaming too! What’s up with that?
What am I missing?
Can someone please tell me why a picture showing a VIP sodomy suspect with a beaming Bush is more damning than a picture showing the same VIP sodomy suspect with a beaming Obama?

It’s not that one is more damning, it’s WHO it’s damning.
Though, to be fair, it might simply have to do with copyrights and which picture they had access to.
Of course it’s to get in a hit at Bush.
They’re going through “Emanuel Goldstein” withdrawal.
Because Booosh is EVUL…
Or to avoid any taint by association with Obama, a two-fer from the press’s perspective.
Or maybe one had a full face portrait as opposed to a profile.
